Mini-splits are the right answer when adding central ductwork isn't practical — new additions, converted garages, ADUs, or older homes without existing ducts. Each indoor unit runs on its own thermostat, so every room gets exactly the temperature you want with much lower energy use than window units or portable heaters.

Common questions
How many zones do I need?
Depends on the number of rooms and how independently you want them controlled. Common setups: 1 zone for an addition or garage, 2-3 for a small home, 4+ for whole-home retrofits.
Can mini-splits heat and cool?
Yes — modern mini-splits are heat pumps that do both. They're highly efficient in the Bay Area climate.
Where do you route the line-sets?
We plan the routing to keep runs as short and hidden as possible. Line-set covers match the wall color, and we walk you through the plan before install day.
Are they hard to maintain?
Filters need cleaning every couple of months (rinse in the sink), and an annual professional tune-up covers the rest. We include mini-splits in our maintenance plans.
Do they qualify for rebates?
Many models qualify for federal tax credits, PG&E rebates, and TECH Clean California incentives. We handle the paperwork for the rebates you qualify for.
